Rosemary Rasmussen is an Associate Lecturer in Medical Laboratory Science. Her current role includes the development of clinical placement opportunities in pathology laboratories, and supervising and supporting undergraduate students on placements.
Rosemary has had over twenty years’ experience working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in private and public hospital based pathology laboratories across Victoria and Queensland. She specialised in transfusion medicine and haematology and sat on various hospital committees including Blood Management and Trauma Review. More recently, Rosemary completed a Masters Degree in Education. She now enjoys the opportunity to combine her experience and passions for teaching and science to provide work-integrated learning experiences that will prepare students for work as Medical Laboratory Technicians.
