Join a club or society

Your UniSC Student Guild is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting, representing and enriching the experience of students at UniSC. The guild provide opportunities to get involved in a range of events and activities, clubs and societies at UniSC and outside of University. You could even start your own.

Join a professional association

Many industry professional associations provide memberships for students for free or at a reduced cost. It’s important to stay up to date with changes in your industry, and joining a professional association is a great way to do this. You’ll also benefit from access to job opportunities, professional development, creating important networks and enhancing your resume. Connect with industry

Through Events and Workshops such as the Careers iEngage series and the Careers Fair-you have unique opportunities to connect with industry and create networks. Search StudentHub to register.

Career conversations

Learn how to construct authentic 'career conversations' with a range of industry professionals in your field of interest. These can serve a range of purposes from finding out whether a role is the right fit for you, through to tapping into the hidden job market and gaining opportunities for work shadowing, internships and paid employment. Our workshops on 'Organic Networking' and the resource for 'Informational Interviewing' can help you plan ahead for these.
