Application form - Political Deepfake Discovery Honours Scholarship

Scholarship applications for Study Period 1, 2026 are now open and will close on Saturday, 31 January 2026.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 27 February 2026.

 

Eligibility

  • students enrolled full-time commencing in a Bachelor of Business (Honours) or a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Honours)
  • achieved a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.5 in their bachelor’s degree program

Selection criteria

  • written statement
  • academic merit

Please submit a statement (no more than 1,000 words) addressing the following key points:

  • demonstrated interest and understanding of AI driven disinformation and political deepfake videos
  • willingness to participate in Political Deepfake Discovery Honours Project activities such as team meetings, project administration tasks and research assistance for chief investigators

Value

Scholarships are valued at $5,000 and will be paid in two lump sum payments of $2,500 after the applicable census date following eligibility checks.
