Leading researchers working to boost the productivity of Australia’s primary industries and the food security of developing countries will reveal their latest findings at a USC Research Showcase on Thursday 30 November.

Interested members of the public are invited to the keynote talk from 12.30pm to 1.30pm at USC’s Innovation Centre on campus at Sippy Downs.

Keynote speaker Dr Peter Horne from the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research will present, ‘The future ain’t what it used to be: Redesigning Australian support in agricultural research towards the needs of partner countries towards 2050’.

Registered delegates will then attend sessions on:

  • Enhancing food security and livelihoods in developing countries, led by USC Professor of Tropical Forestry John Herbohn;
  • Partnering to increase the productivity of Australian primary industries, led by USC Associate Professor of Aquaculture Nicholas Paul.
