This course introduces you to the domains of social work and human services and the various frameworks that practitioners use to understand and support individuals, groups and communities within their social contexts. The wide variety of practice roles, fields and contexts within social work and human services practice are examined, unified by an emphasis on respect for persons, human rights, social justice, professional integrity, and critical reflection. The course aims to provide an overview of the breadth of human services work within contemporary Australian society.
