Dr Catherine Houlihan is a clinical psychologist and Director of the USC Psychology clinic. She co-ordinates and teaches courses on the Master of Psychology – Clinical and Professional programs. She provides clinical and research supervision to Master’s students and co-supervision for PhD students.

Catherine completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Oxford. She has since worked in specialist mental health services for people with eating disorders and as a trainer and supervisor for evidence-based eating disorder treatments. Catherine has worked in senior leadership roles for new and developing treatment programs, including working as the Clinical Director for Australia’s first residential eating disorder service (“Wandi Nerida”) on the Sunshine Coast in QLD.

Catherine’s research focuses on novel ways to enhance eating disorder treatment experience and outcome.
She is also interested in multidisciplinary team working and using therapeutic models in mental health service design.
