Dr Grace Rose is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology within the School of Health. She is an award-winning and passionate academic educator. Grace is an Honorary Academic at the University of Queensland, following her Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in exercise oncology (2021-2023), and PhD completion in healthy ageing (2018-2021). Grace is a current peer reviewer for several Q1 oncology, exercise and ageing journals.

Grace’s research focus is to identify exercise prescription principles that most effectively target primary and secondary prevention of age-related chronic disease, and evaluate strategies to implement these prescription principles. Particularly, she has a passion for improving the lives and outcomes for people living with and beyond cancer. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Grace’s research has a strong applied, clinical lens, where she is has managed and collaborated on >$4.9 million funded exercise implementation clinical trials.

Grace’s research uniquely cross-sects basic and implementation science, where key disease-contributing factors she investigates include: immune function, inflammation, body composition, psychosocial factors, and fitness.
