Since admission, Kirsty has practised both in Private Practice and the Community Legal Sector in Family Law and Elderly Law. Her first role post admission, was one of Caxton Legal Centre's duty Lawyers at the Family Court which then led to coordinating the Seniors Legal and Support Service. David Wise and Kirsty have been coordinating the USC Practical Legal Clinic since 2016. Kirsty held the position of Chair of the QLS Elder Law Committee from 2014 to 2020 and been extensively involved in advocating to government for legislative change in Elder Law and Guardianship issues. In 2017 and 2019, Kirsty was elected as a Councillor on the Queensland Law Society Council.
