This pathway is designed for future leaders in the engineering sector, giving you the opportunity to combine your foundational engineering education with a masters level qualification that specialises in civil engineering. You'll develop advanced technical knowledge alongside strategic leadership skills, preparing you to manage large-scale infrastructure projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive innovation in a rapidly evolving industry.
In this program you will:
- Commence your career in engineering with an accelerated masters level qualification
- Study topics including structural analysis and design, sustainable transport systems and environmental engineering
- Recreate interactive real-life scenarios in UniSC's state-of-the-art visualisation studio and dedicated engineering laboratories
- Get hands-on experience through 12 weeks of work experience
- Develop professional engineering competencies in teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, communication, and research

Your undergraduate study sequence will follow the structure of the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours), and your Masters sequence will align with your chosen specialisation.
As part of the combined program, you will only need to complete 120 units at the Masters level, instead of the standard 192 units. Program information including study sequences and course information can be found on the program page:
Domestic students
Indicative 2026 fees (CSP): A$8,336*
Commonwealth supported places are substantially subsidised by the Australian Government so that students only pay 'student contribution" amounts. The student contribution amount will vary depending on the course you are studying and how much funding the Government provides.
If you accept a Commonwealth supported place you are a Commonwealth supported student. As a Commonwealth supported student you must make a contribution towards the cost of your education (unless you are enrolled in Enabling or Tertiary Preparation Pathway courses) with the majority of the cost met by the Commonwealth Government.
Commonwealth supported places are only available to domestic students. As a domestic student you are entitled to a Commonwealth supported place in an eligible program if you:
- meet the citizenship and residency requirements
- complete an electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF)
- meet the University's entry requirements for your chosen program.
* This is an indicative fee for one year of full-time study. Actual fees will change based on courses selected and are subject to yearly increases.

Maths Methods and/or Specialist Maths; and Physics or Chemistry
Prerequisites
English (Units 3 and 4, C)
Applicants must not have undertaken more than one year of bachelor level study.
Post admission requirements
Students must complete 60 days of suitable field experience.

Prerequisites are minimum entry requirements and must be completed for offer of admission.
Recommended prior study is recommended but not required.
Subjects are expressed as Queensland senior subjects at level 3 and 4 completion level with grade of C. Refer to Subject prerequisite equivalents for more information.
