PTY200 Core Physiotherapy Skills A #

* Not offered until Semester 1, 2026. Physiotherapy students will be introduced to the field of orthopaedic and sports medicine, including an emergency and first aid response. Students will be taught principles of acute assessment and management of a musculoskeletal and neurological injury, and indications for imaging and referral to other health professionals. Students will also develop skills in communicating in a culturally safe manner, applying electrophysical agents, and introductory skills in massage and taping. Approximately 60 hours of work-integrated learning is embedded in this course
