The Noosa Community Foundation (NCF) manage charitable funds donated by local people to meet the needs of their community. They support local priority needs including education and involve people in developing their community.
NCF Bursaries will support Noosa-based students with financial need who are enrolled in any undergraduate degree program at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Bursaries are valued at $5,000. Payments will be made over two study periods in $2,500 instalments approximately three weeks after the Census Date in the relevant study periods, once enrolment has been confirmed.
Please Note: The number of bursaries available in each study period varies and this bursary is offered through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given study period, the bursary will not be awarded.
- Eligibility
- Continuing 2nd year or above student having successfully completed a minimum of 96 units
- Enrolled full-time in any undergraduate degree program at UniSC
- resident of the Noosa Shire
- Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holder or Permanent Resident of Australia
- Selection criteria
- financial need
- hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities that impact on the time available for the student to study (e.g. compulsory fieldwork placement, significant carer responsibilities)
- preference will be given to previous recipients of the Noosa Community Foundation Bursary in subsequent study periods, subject to continued eligibility
- consideration will be given to applicants expressing interest in working within the Noosa Shire community post-graduation
