International collaboration data gathering for SDG. Participate in international collaboration on gathering or measuring data for the SDGs.
UniSC has demonstrated strong international collaboration in gathering and measuring data for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through several key initiatives.
One prominent example is the Pacific Agriculture Scholarships, Support and Climate Resilience Program (PASS–CR), led by UniSC’s Australian Centre for Pacific Island Research and funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR). This program supports scholars and institutions across Pacific Island nations in collecting data on food systems, climate resilience, and poverty, directly contributing to SDGs 1, 2, and 13.
Another example is UniSC’s collaboration in Samoa, where researchers worked with local communities to develop a seaweed recipe book and educational resources. This project involved gathering data on sustainable food practices and nutrition, supporting SDGs 2, 12, and 14.
Additionally, UniSC researchers have contributed to international academic discourse on integrating SDGs into the teaching–research nexus, helping build global frameworks for data generation and analysis aligned with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
These efforts reflect UniSC’s commitment to advancing sustainability through evidence-based, cross-border collaboration.
Summary
UniSC contributes to international SDG data efforts through collaborative research programs such as PASS–CR in the Pacific and sustainable food initiatives in Samoa, supporting global data collection and analysis aligned with multiple SDGs.
