The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students) is responsible for the overall vision and effectiveness of initiatives that enable students to realise their fullest academic and personal potential.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students) provides leadership and fosters excellence across the portfolios of Student Services and Engagement, Indigenous Services and chairs the University’s Learning and Teaching Committee.
By working with and representing the interests of a diverse student body, the Pro Vice-Chancellor ensures a mutually reinforcing relationship between the academic and non-academic areas of the University and plays a central role in defining the strong sense of community that unites students and staff across various cultural, educational and professional backgrounds.
As a member of the Executive team, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students) makes significant contributions to the development of the University. In particular, she is responsible for initiating and leading the University's student success and retention strategies and for advancing and supporting higher education research, learning and teaching scholarship, and evidence-based excellence in learning and teaching practice.
