Student leaders celebrated at graduation ceremonies

At UniSC’s April 2025 graduations, 36 grads walked the stage with more than just degrees – they also took home a Student Leadership Award.

The Award recognises students who’ve gone above and beyond during their studies, making standout contributions to UniSC and their communities, while building valuable skills through co-curricular activities.

Students can take part in up to five Award categories, including volunteering, industry experience, professional development, research, and entrepreneurship.

Asha Chalmer said her time with Students as Partners would be one she would never forget, with plans to continue with it through her post-graduate studies.

"I have experienced growth and development not only as a student and professional employee, but also as an individual," Asha said.

"The experiences and opportunities I have had available to me through volunteering, leading and representing my cohort have adapted the trajectory of my current and future pathways.

"I cannot imagine a university experience without Students as Partners, and I am excited to continue my studies so that I can be involved once more in the program that shaped my university experience and got me to where I proudly am today."
