English Language Program conditions of enrolment

The following conditions of enrolment are for students enrolling in a University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) English Language Program.

  • I have read and accept English Language Programs admission requirements, program content, program duration, assessment methods and course-related fees located at English Language Programs. I am also aware of USC's location, campus facilities and relevant information about living on the Sunshine Coast.
  • I understand that my level of English will be tested on arrival.
  • I understand that if I have a Student visa I am required to attend at least 80 percent of my course, and that if I fail to do so I will be reported to the Australian Department of Home Affairs (DOHA).
  • I understand that while I am enrolled, and during any grievance or appeal processes, I must tell USC immediately if I change my address.
  • I have read USC's regulations and agree to abide by them.
  • I am aware that any school-aged dependents accompanying me will be required to pay full fees at a private or government school in Australia.
  • I agree that USC can share information about my course and progress with my recruiting agent.
  • I will be responsible for all library items borrowed on my card and pay any charges connected with overdue, lost or damaged material.
  • I understand that I cannot change my education provider during the first six months of my principal course without having been released from USC.
  • I understand that Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is compulsory for all international students and their dependents while they are in Australia on a Student visa. USC can accept payment and arrange visa-length OSHC with the University's preferred provider Medibank. USC students who purchase their OSHC through USC will receive Medibank's Comprehensive OSHC policy, which you can review here.
  • I understand that the compulsory OSHC must be maintained for the duration of the Student visa.
  • I understand that if I am in Australia on a Tourist or other visa I should ensure that I have adequate medical and travel insurance.
  • I have read, understand and accept the terms of USC's Student Fees and Charges Policy and Student Fees, Charges and Refunds Procedures.
  • I acknowledge USC's right to change its fees and conditions, cancel or defer courses, and to alter course timetables and class locations at any time without notice. Information about the grounds on which a student’s enrolment  be deferred, suspended or cancelled is available under Your Student visa and ESOS and Important Policies.
