USC Sport hosts multiple student and staff events throughout the year including Campus Clash, Intervarsity events, the Great Court Race Series and UniSC Gym's Deadlift Party.

USC Campus Clash is a one-day, multi-campus clash between UniSC’s six campuses – SouthBank, Moreton Bay, Caboolture, Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Fraser Coast. Each team faces off in a variety of friendly but competitive sporting games (sports change annually) throughout the day, with the winning team being crowned UniSC’s official Champion Campus.

Registrations for 2023 will open at the beginning of Semester 1.

After a seven-year hiatus, 2019 saw the return of the UniSC Great Court Race with students and staff competing in a 360m race through the Sunshine Coast campus.

The Great Court Race will consist of 3 races; Male, Female and Team (2-4 people per team).

If a team has only 2 runners then they will run about 175m each whereas if they have 4 members they will run about 90m each.

Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the individual races as well as 1st place, team spirit and best dressed in the team category.

USC Sport’s Deadlift Party sees participants of all ages, genders and skills take on ascending deadlifts until no one can lift anymore. Winners are determined by relative weight (heaviest lift / body weight).

Supervised by our skilled strength and conditioning gym staff, this event is open to people of all experience levels and provides a fun, supportive and social environment to use the UniSC Sunshine Coast Gym, raise your PB’s and see what lifting is all about.

A male, female and teaching platform are run throughout the event. With great prizes to be won and food to be eaten. It is an event you don’t want to miss.
