Danielle Cave
Dr Danielle Cave is a Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics in the School of Health at UniSC. Her doctorate research used a complexity science lens to explore the long-term sustainability of food fortification strategies within the foodservice systems of aged care homes. She is interested in food and nutrition for older adults living in the community and in residential aged care, as well as foodservice management. Danielle teaches courses across the Bachelor of Nutrition and the Bachelor of Dietetics programs. She is a Fellow of Advance HE and is actively involved in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Danielle is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and has experience working in residential aged care. She was awarded the Dietitians Australia Fay McDonald Academic Scholarship in 2020, which supports further study and training in foodservice management. She is a member of Dietitians Australia and the Australian Association of Gerontology. She is the lead of the Australian Association of Gerontology’s Student and Early Career Group (SECG) National Conference Working Group and a general member of Dietitian Australia’s Food Service Interest Group.
