Kirsty Stafford (BSc (Physiology & Biochem.) USyd, MOT USyd) is a full-time Clinical Lecturer in Occupational Therapy, School of Health, University of the Sunshine Coast. Kirsty brings a breadth of experience to her teaching with a pre-hospital care training and remote area practice background prior to completing her Masters in Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney. Kirsty has a special interest in clinical skill development and simulation-based learning with her main teaching focus is to facilitate high levels of competency and professionalism for Occupational Therapy students in readiness for professional practice. Kirsty’s special interest areas include; Trauma and Critical Care, Hand Therapy, Neurology and Rehabilitation.
Kirsty is passionate about supporting current and future health professionals to apply effective evidence-based principles to clinical and professional practice. Her current area of research focus is in health professional education and innovation with experience in qualitative and mixed methods approaches.
