Digital strategies for International Business

This course is aimed at small and medium-sized business owners and managers who want to learn how to conduct international business effectively in foreign markets. The course will focus on how to leverage digital technologies to enhance the performance and competitiveness of your international business. You will learn about various aspects of international business, such as social media strategies, ‘bricks and clicks’ models, and the applications of industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence in foreign markets. By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of how to use digital tools and strategies to achieve success in your international business and sales.

 

This workshop includes the following topics:

  • Fundamentals of international business
  • Creating social media strategies for foreign countries
  • Bricks and clicks strategies in international markets
  • The use of Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence for international business

Meet the presenter

Dr Jane Menzies is a Senior Lecturer in International Business and the MBA and Postgraduate Programs coordinator at the University of Sunshine Coast. She obtained her PhD from Monash University in 2005, with a focus on women’s participation in international assignments in Multinational Enterprises. She is a highly rated lecturer, with 100% student satisfaction scores in her teaching. She has extensive experience in international markets, having led study tours to various countries and coordinated an inbound program of MBA students from South Africa. She has also been a visiting scholar at several prestigious universities around the world, including Aarhus University, Denmark, Rollins College, US, Shanghai Jiaotong University, China and the University of Melbourne. She has taught at Deakin, Monash and Victoria University. Dr Menzies has a strong research background in international business, especially in the internationalisation of firms.
