Not offered until Semester 1 2022 This course teaches programming skills for developing modern web apps. It introducesfunctional programming concepts and core JavaScript skills, and shows how to use JavaScript, NodeJS and various JavaScript frameworks to build interactive 'single-page' web apps with cloud-based storage and customer analytics. Knowledge of HTML and CSS is assumed. The course covers both client-side programming and server-side programming. Topics covered will typically include: JavaScript concepts; JSON; Delegation; DOM programming; Component-based development; REST web services; Client-side JavaScript Frameworks such as React and Redux; Server-side NodeJS development; Automated unit testing; Server-side database support.
