This course will equip students to assess and treat clients with neurological disorders in a safe, effective, and evidence-based manner within rehabilitation contexts. Students will learn about the clinical presentation, pathophysiology, and management of common neurological disorders, and apply motor relearning theory and research findings in assessments and treatments. Students will also extend knowledge and skills in analyses of posture and gait, manual handling, transfers and gait re-education, and specific and functional exercise prescription for clients with neurological disorders.
