Aspiring students seek inspiration at Open Day Sunshine Coast

More than 4,000 people from across southeast Queensland and beyond attended the University of the Sunshine Coast's annual Open Day yesterday, Sunday 16 July.

The Sippy Downs campus had a bustling vibe as families and people of all ages checked out facilities and fun educational activities, talked one-on-one with academics and staff, and joined workshops and talks about degrees and uni life.

From squeals of delight around a bouncing AI robotic dog on the lawn to focused questioning in high-tech labs about technology in areas such as sport science, creative industries, nursing and paramedicine, there was plenty keeping the visitors busy from 9am to 2pm.

UniSC ranked number one in Queensland for ‘overall impact’ and ‘climate action’ in the latest Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.

It also recently ranked as the best public university in Queensland for the overall quality of its educational experience for undergraduate students – for the second year in a row.

The University will open its Moreton Bay campus to the public this Sunday 23 July.

UniSC Open Day at 1 Moreton Parade, Petrie, will showcase the facilities and degrees on offer from 9am to 2pm, again with opportunities to talk directly to academics and support staff.
