In this course you will develop your knowledge about food safety principles and related legislation in Australia. You will be introduced to approaches used to assess and manage chemical and microbial risks associated with food in various settings, and the roles of each level of government and of various enforcement agencies in Australia in ensuring food safety are examined. You will also explore the essential aspects of designing and operating food premises and the role of environmental health professionals in maintaining a safe food supply and managing food borne disease outbreaks.
