The University has reopened the sport facilities within the USC Sports Precinct for all university community, members, user groups and the wider community. Our priority is to ensure our USC students and staff, members, user groups and the wider USC community are COVID Safe. Necessary changes have been adopted to our venue operations including what we need you to do to before, during and after your sport or exercise session to help us keep everyone safe and healthy.

General Guidelines:

  • Stay at home if you feel unwell. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, get tested.
  • Maintain 1.5m physical distancing within the USC Sport facilities.
  • Practice healthy hygiene. Wash your hands regularly and cover your coughs and sneezes.
  • It is recommended that you download the Australian Government’s COVID Safe App.
  • Please arrive dressed and ready for your session and leave immediately after it is completed.
  • Bring your own drink bottle
  • If you are using our fitness facilities, you must bring a towel
  • Adhere to all venue and directional signage.

Please note:

  • Water bubblers are not accessible, some water refill stations will be operational.
  • Contactless payments are preferred.
  • Our USC Sport staff have undergone relevant training in safety and hygiene practices as recommended by health agencies and industry guidelines.

Purpose-built for elite training, rehabilitation and research

50-metre Olympic-standard pool

The 10-lane, 50-metre Olympic-standard swimming pool is heated year-round. The facility is an elite training ground for recreational swimmers to Olympic and Paralympic champions alike.

The facility is available for recreational use by USC students, staff and the wider community. It is also used for teaching, research, rehabilitation and learn to swim / swim coaching programs.

An amenities building is located alongside the pool.

25-metre pool, plunge pools and aquatic recovery facilities

The University has a newly constructed six-lane 25-metre swimming pool, one cold immersion, one warm plunge pool and aquatic recovery facilities. These facilities are custom-designed for the delivery of individual programs in aquatic rehabilitation and elite training.

*Training camps and teams may be able to book outside of these times based on USC Sport availability and scheduling.

Please note all facilities are closed on all public holidays.
Children under 5 years are not permitted in the pool. Children under 15 years must be under the active supervision of an accompanying adult.
