USC Sport selects individuals and teams to represent USC in intervarsity events.
Australia’s largest university multi-sport event is the Unisport Australia Nationals Div 1 and Div 2 run by UniSport Australia
University sport events provide a fantastic opportunity to represent your university and meet people from all over Australia and the world.
The teams representing University of the Sunshine Coast compete as the USC Spartans.
2021 Nationals
The 2021 Nationals are a competitive week-long competition, filled with camaraderie and worldwide friendships that will last a life-time.
2021 Unisport Australia Nationals Div 1 and Div 2

The University Basketball League (UBL) is a newly created university sport competition in Australia. Men's and women's competition will be played across the country, culminating in a finals weekend to determine Australia's number one basketball university. Student placement opportunities are also available through the league.
Games will occur during the week between April and May. You can find out more about the UBL via the UniSport website.

The Intervarsity Volleyball League (IVL) is a newly created university sport competition between UniSport Australia and Volleyball Queensland. Men's and women's competition will be played across the state against five other QLD universities.

The Queensland Premier League (QPL) is a multi-division state wide netball competition to determine the best Association teams in Queensland. For the first time, in 2021 university teams have been invited to join the league. USC Spartans will be playing in the Women's Zone 3 South East Queensland competition, with the opportunity to play in the QPL Opens State Finals against QLD's top teams. Regular season games will be played locally from April to September, with state finals in October.

How to get involved
- Register your interest via email to sport@usc.edu.au.
- We will keep you up to date with any event or trial information
- Confirm your selection in the team with the Spartan Team Leader. Spartan Team Leaders (STL) are students appointed to help manage and select teams to compete at intervarsity events. If your sport doesnt have a STL, you can register your interest to apply.
- Individual sports do not require trials; however, you must meet the UniSport Australia qualification requirements.
- Pay fees by the due dates (Fees vary per event) — Due dates TBC
University Student Athlete Code of Conduct
The University Student Athlete Code of Conduct is applicable to all USC Sport events. By agreeing to participate in any USC Sport event, students are acknowledging that they are representing University of the Sunshine Coast.
USC Sport is proud of its image and reputation and will not tolerate the misbehaviour of individuals representing USC Sport and USC.
