Interested in joining a student team? UniSC has a range of elite and social sporting clubs and teams for you.

Head to the UniSC Intervarsity Sport page if you are interested in being on a UniSport Nationals or intervarsity team.

Don’t see your sport here? Contact sport@usc.edu.au to start you own student team! UniSC also has a range of community teams to choose from, who train and play on campus.

University Basketball League (UBL)

Cheer and Dance

UniSC Cheerleading and Dance Team

Competing in both university and non-university competitions throughout the year and training at Sunshine Coast Cheerleading. This team is passionate about cheer and dance, but also team work and having fun.
Trials will be early Semester 1.

UniSC Spartans play in the Thunder Premier League (TPL)

Quadball

UniSC Quadball Club

UniSC's Quadball League was founded in May 2014 and has evolved into a network of around 60 quidditch players of all skill levels, and their supporters. Through the league, a rich tapestry of friendships has been forged, and newcomers are always welcome.

The league currently consists of six teams who compete weekly in matches fuelled by friendly on-field rivalry, in two intra-university tournaments per year. These teams are the UniSC Thestrals, UniSC Nargles, UniSC Phoenix, UniSC Death Eaters, UniSC Basilisks and UniSC Greybacks. From these teams, the strongest players are selected to form the representative team, the UniSC Dementors.

Training and Games:

The UniSC Quadball League hold games every Wednesday evening from 6pm on Field 1 at UniSC Sunshine Coast. All are welcome to watch, play and make some great friends!

Rugby League

UniSC Rugby League Club 

After claiming a national bronze medal at the 2019 National Rugby 9's university competition, a club of enthusiastic rugby league players was formed. The UniSC Spartans debuted in the Universities Rugby League Queensland competition in 2021 finishing minor premiers. The club is open to men and women who want to play or learn how to play rugby league and rugby league 9's.
