Biotechnology is the use of living organisms and their products to create or modify products or processes for specific use. It is a rapidly growing field with a wide range of applications in medicine, agriculture, industry, and the environment.

As a biotechnology major, you will study a variety of topics, including biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, and bioinformatics. You will learn how to use these tools to develop new drugs, crops, and industrial products, and to solve environmental problems.

By furthering your understanding of biotechnology you can open the door to careers in both the public and private sector, in the fields of science, health, engineering, education and even research – helping to further shape our evolving world.
